Online retailer Farfetch has teamed up with on-demand donation service Thrift+ as it looks to achieve its mission of becoming the global platform for good in luxury fashion.
Customers order a donation bag, fill it up with their unwanted clothes, shoes and accessories and return it to Thrift+ free.
Thrift+ then sells the items online, with one third of the money going to the donor’s chosen charity. A further third can be redeemed in credit to spend at Farfetch, or also donated to charity. Thrift+ takes the final third as its cut for running the service.
The Farfetch x Thrift+ service is currently only available in the UK.
