French department store Printemps has launched an operation around sustainable shopping, dubbed Recréez, Réinventez (Recreate, Reinvent).
Donate your old clothes
A clothing collection for the French Red Cross is being organized, where you can donate your cast-offs at Printemps’ Parisian flagship up until 12 May. The items collected will be sold across the Red Cross’ network of 600 shops, and the funds raised will go towards financing the charity’s social initiatives.
Printemps has also teamed up with French brand Andrea Crews to launch a capsule collection of 20 upcycled pieces created from past-season collections of Printemps’ private-label brands Au Printemps de Paris and Brummell. The collection has been made in the ateliers of Tissons la Solidarité, an association that fights against social exclusion by combining fashion, recycling and getting people back into the workforce.
