Last Saturday I went to a vide dressing at La Maison Muller (an old house that is now rented out for events) in the picturesque Montmartre area of Paris.
There was a great selection of preloved pieces for sale, and something for every budget. A couple of stand out items that took my fancy included a Maje angora jumper for €60, a pair of brand new Hervé Leger boots (pictured) for €200 and a brand new Isabel Marant x H&M silk top for €30.
A bit like a magpie, I was drawn to the fabulous Hervé Leger silver bandage dress. Luckily for my bank balance, however, once I had shoehorned myself into what felt like a giant support stocking (in a size large, of course), the effect was more sausage than sexy, so I returned it to the rail.
Although I didn’t buy anything this time, I’ll definitely be back if a similar event is organised. La Maison Muller has a really cool vibe, so it was great to go and have a look around the ground floor. There’s even a courtyard at the back of the house, so sellers with stands outside got to soak up the sunshine.
