Recently opened Parisian concept store En Voiture Simone sells a range of secondhand vintage and contemporary designers. Preloved pieces include items from the likes of Kenzo, Charlotte Olympia, Carven and Saint Laurent. The careful curation of items makes for an enjoyable browsing experience, and ensures you don’t miss something fabulous.
Having said to my friend not five minutes before how I needed a new pair of trainers, I immediately honed in on the pair of blue seude Pumas with houndstooth detail (pictured). They were unworn and I paid €55. Given that I haven’t taken them off since, I’ll definitely be getting my money’s worth. Meanwhile, my friend bought a black, mint condition Kenzo jacket for a fairly pricey price (although not compared to the original price), but is adamant that it will be a wardrobe staple for years to come. I’m not one to argue with that since I’m fairly certain I said the same thing about my pricey Kenzo dress bought from dépôt-vente La Marelle.
I discovered En Voiture Simone thanks to Instagram, then realised I’d met one of the ladies who runs it at the Emmaüs dressing chic event a few weeks ago. She’s absolutely lovely, clearly knows her fashion and has a great sense of style. I’ll definitely be back to see what other gems are to be found, but probably not this side of payday….
