Yesterday I stumbled across an Emmaüs charity shop in central Paris that sells clothes by the kilo. Secondhand clothes come from other Emmaüs shops so still have the original price stickers on. This confused me initially, but apparently you disregard the pricing and pay €10 per kilo. The same does not apply to shoes and bags, sadly, so I was disappointed to learn that I would not be getting a pair of Melissa sandals with gold block heels for potentially a lot less than the €35 price tag.
The shop itself is clean, airy and well laid out, which makes for a great shopping experience. So while I didn’t see anything I liked enough to buy this time, I’ll definitely be popping back.
